Dr. Thomas is double board certified in OB/GYN and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reproductive Surgery (FPMR&S). She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and subsequently completed a residency in OB/GYN at the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas in Houston, followed by a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at Los Angeles' Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She also has a MPH from UCLA. Dr. Thomas spent a decade teaching at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine, jumping off the tenure track in 2000 to focus on treating patients in private practice and accelerating her ground-breaking research and charitable work.
